Right to Information (RTI)

Right to Information (RTI)

Commitment: As a federal public body under MoIB, NCSU implements citizens’ right of access to information (Right of Access to Information Act, 2017).

How to request
Send a clear description of the records you want. Include your contact details and preferred format (inspection/e-copy/photocopy).
Submit via: website form, email, post, or in person to NCSU’s designated office.
Suggested fields: name, CNIC (optional), postal/email/phone, description/timeframe, format preference.

Exemptions & public interest
Certain records may be exempt (e.g., national security, personal privacy, privileged material). We will cite the specific exemption and apply the public-interest test; information on corruption or human-rights violations is not withheld on classification alone.

Appeals
If dissatisfied or no decision is issued in time, file a free appeal within 30 days to the Pakistan Information Commission (PIC). The PIC typically decides appeals within 60 days.
